Demitros - Pulsars (Original Mix) von Particles

Continuing its traditions of introducing and nurturing new talents to the underground dance scene, Particles is delighted to announce the release of a debut EP from Brazilian artist, Demitros, and his "Cosmos" EP. The brainchild of the São José resident on the country's south-eastern coast, Demitros Paes confirmed his production credentials as a graduate of Brazil's renowned International Academy of Electronic Music (AIMEC). Driven by the opportunity to "awaken evolving minds" with his distinctive brand of deep and tech house music, Demitros began his commercial production career in December 2016. With the "Demogorgon" EP for This Alien Gate, Demitros was inspired by the internal dialogue between good and evil, with a pair of tracks that held true to deep house production values. A further track as part of "The Alien Gate Stars" in April 2017 followed, as the Brazilian's sound continued to mature. Now Demitros debuts on Particles with the conceptual "Cosmos" EP as the twin-tracks explore the depths of outer space with his unique sonic architecture and highly impressive production values. Demanding listener attention and contemplation, "Cosmos" is linked by a sound that is the perfect audio counterpart to the overarching themes inherent in the title. Opener, "Double Sunset", is full of lengthy reverb tails that fill the aural space as an almost tribal groove is soon joined by a filtered analogue bass note and sustained pad. Elegant within its stripped back framework, each sound is perfectly placed within the arrangement. As a chord progression extends in the breakdown, parallels with Quivver's Space Manoeuvres project are not misplaced. Evolving further in the third movement with a low frequency oscillated lead line and additional percussive components, "Double Sunset" is a mesmerising affair. "Pulsars" continues the Demitros attention to rhythmic detail as hi-hat urgency is accompanied by off-beat claps and strong kick. A wonderfully modulating and filtered bass line progression are a joy to behold as a crystalline edged and silky smooth lead line provide sonic question and answer. A rising vocal cry appears intermittently throughout, as rhythm, bass and melody combine to strong dance floor effect in the third movement. The resultant track is a highly impressive piece. As Demitros joins the Particles galaxy of stars, his "Cosmos" is certainly out of this world. Directed by Jay Epoch A&R by Marina Gerardi Mastered by Cid Inc.
